Cassian: what’s up craig what…
Odine: Hi, Greg.
Aldric: It’s Sir Craig’s a lot.
Cassian: brings you here craig…
Odine: So, Gav and I went to Fan Expo here this last weekend.
Cassian: oh how was that…
Odine: It was really fun.
Azrith: yeah it was fun…
Odine: Gav got to meet the guy that voices Tondro from Demon Slayer, which was really fun. I saw…
Cassian: oh really wait…
Odine: Yeah. Yeah.
Azrith: and and kellen goth does a lot of listen for some characters…
Odine: Yeah. Cullen Goff.
Cassian: oh…
Odine: Yeah.
Odine: Yeah, we had a really good time. I saw Matthew Lillard speak in a screen panel also.
Odine: I saw Pauly Shore speak, which was great, which was fun.
Cassian: cool i didn’t know he was still on the circuit a…
Odine: He’s trying to… Which, oddly enough, I can’t believe no one’s really thought of this. He’s running a campaign right now to try to get money to make a Richard Simmons movie that he can star in. Because I think he’d be pretty great as that, right? So, yeah. But…
Cassian: comedy i hope oh…
Odine: Oh, yeah. Definitely. Definitely. But it makes me want to re-watch a bunch of his films, like Sutton Law or Encino Man,
Odine: from back in the day.
Cassian: yeah oh…
Odine: Yeah, what else? Oh, I met the guy that created the X-Men TV series.
Cassian: cool…
Odine: And talked with him a little bit just about decisions made and whatnot. And it was really fun. So,
Odine: we had a good time.
Odine: Oh, I also got some really nice dice. Because I spent some money.
Cassian: oh yeah whoa…
Odine: I have these. They’re made of obsidian. They’re actual obsidian dice with like Nordic Rune numbers on it, right? So, yeah. And they’re hologram too. They look really good.
Odine: I don’t know if I’m going to look on camera a little bit.
GM: They sound like magic dice.
Cassian: yeah, yeah, shout it.
Cassian: what happened,
Azrith: they look like magic guys i…
Cassian: what happened to your dice camera?
Cassian: oh yeah,
Odine: But… Oh, I could do it still. They’re very pretty.
Odine: Here’s the…
Cassian: yeah,
Odine: Nice matte black.
Cassian: they are.
Cassian: did you see right…?
Odine: Everything to it.
GM: The Yorhas dice from Darrington Press look very similar,
GM: but the 20 is their logo.
Odine: Yeah.
GM: But it’s cool. It has the same, what is that, like the opalescent?
Odine: Yeah.
Odine: Yeah. Almost looks like Opal.
Odine: But it’s not. Like, yeah, whatever it is. But it’s really cool. It’s really cool. I enjoy it a lot. I love it.
GM: Yeah.
Azrith: got some i got some little free dice myself i played a little like one shot and uh apparently got mvp and so they gave me free dice…
GM: Free dice. I…
Odine: I’m going to embarrass Gavin. And so, we went to this room where it was like this D&D thing where you create characters. And I didn’t think much of it. But like halfway through creating characters, Gavin’s like, I want to play with a different table. Because we were with a bunch of kids, right? I was trying to help some kids along. And then Gavin played a game. I left for another panel. And I came back. And I couldn’t find Gavin later in the day. I was like, where are you? He goes, I’m in the D&D room. I was like, oh, what are you doing? I’m helping out. And I was like, oh, okay, cool. So, I walk in. And there’s like two girls his age there. He’s just like trying to help out with all of it. Like, he’s like, dad, can I come back? I want to help out. I was like, so relieved. And I was like, all right, dude, which one was the one you had a crush on?
Odine: And he didn’t answer. He did not get an answer. But yeah,
Azrith: just it they were friends of one of my friends and so i just like to help out so…
GM: love that.
Cassian: on.
Cassian: that sounds like a great time.
Odine: get in that,
Odine: man.
Cassian: did you guys see those dice that were carved at a bone?
GM: I just did.
Azrith: oh yeah those are so cool…
Cassian: kickstarter was doing it. you could get crushed bone dinosaur dinosaur bones,
Cassian: specifically crushed dinosaur bone or straight up carved. i think carved was like four hundred dollars it…
Odine: Wow.
Aldric: Yeah.
Azrith: yeah…
GM: That’s crazy.
GM: The dice world goes deep,
Odine: Roll the bones,
Odine: man.
GM: man. Deep hole.
Cassian: is a crazy world…
Aldric: Deep expensive hole, man.
Odine: Yeah, I know it is.
Azrith: i guess…
Odine: I mean,
GM: And it never stops.
Odine: I spent a pretty penny.
GM: Like once you start, it’s just, there’s always a new set that you’re like, oh, I have to have that.
Cassian: i dream of nice dice but the time will come i suppose special…
Azrith: i’m i’m thinking of getting some like dice like saving up for something that are like special that i use for like saving throws and everything like uh death saving no no no like like like the cool designs and stuff…
Cassian: like special weighted dice yeah yeah yeah i hear you no…
Odine: I know, Gavin. Yeah, no, no. Yeah, I can really make those roles work for you, man. Oh,
Azrith: unlike last time you…
Cassian: doubt all right where where are we what are we doing…
GM: Yeah. Yeah, we’re here, man. I’m pulling up a battle map for you real quick.
Odine: man.
Odine: Odin is going to die.
Azrith: know i…
Aldric: Too early to lose a party, remember?
Odine: No, I know.
Azrith: had a yeah i had a campaign where one of my friends died like within the first session somehow he…
GM: It’s never too early for character deaths. Not in this world.
GM: First session’s rough. That’s rough.
Odine: Because he was a wizard on the front line. So, I’m sure that makes you.
Azrith: was a wizard but he was yeah…
GM: Wizard on the front line doesn’t make a lot of sense.
Odine: Going to die.
GM: Not unless you’ve managed to like polymorph yourself into like a giant elephant or something.
GM: Do you guys have a good holiday weekend?
Odine: Yeah.
Cassian: yeah,
Cassian: i went to our friend’s lake house and did some jet skiing and it was nice. yeah, everyone’s got a lake in florida…
Odine: Chilled. Did my thing?
GM: Nice. Nice.
GM: Yeah. All right. Let’s, uh, let’s do this. Um,
GM: I’m going to move you guys over here. We’re going to start with theater of the mind and then whenever it makes sense, we’ll jump into the map. All right. So, I think if I recall correctly, last time we left off, um, you all returned to the King’s Tourney after going up into Everdell and doing a bit of ghost hunting. Um, you saved Jevon and then you returned to the King’s Tourney, uh, where you, um, found the Ragged Flagon, the canvas tavern in the tent city of the campgrounds. Uh, and drank the night away with Gruvelda, the Dwarven smith.
Cassian: one…
GM: What else?
Odine: Heck yeah.
GM: I think he, your, um, your journey took you to finding a bed up in the noble camps.
GM: And Cassian somehow managed to help you guys finagle your way in there for a night. Um,
Aldric: Yeah.
Odine: For a night.
Cassian: night…
GM: but you did get a good, an actual good night’s rest before your day of your tournament bout. Um, and then I believe there was a bit of gambling going on the next morning. Bet…
Aldric: I think we had basically… Cassian had put a bet on us. And we had convinced the guy to let us do it.
Cassian: he he he felt pretty confident it seemed like in making that bet…
GM: on black.
Azrith: better souls…
GM: You placed the bet and then immediately turned to Aldrick. Hey, can I borrow some money?
Aldric: Yeah, yeah.
Cassian: spent all my money getting everybody in this tournament now i gotta make it back…
Aldric: I like…
GM: Um, yes, I believe your, your purse was, uh, 10 gold, 10 gold pieces.
GM: Um,
Cassian: indeed…
GM: and yeah, you guys, I think are, I mean, you probably have a couple of hours if there’s any like preparations that need to be made before sundown. Um, was there anything anyone else was hoping to accomplish before,
GM: before showtime…
Odine: Odin wants to know if we have a plan in place for what we should do when we enter the arena.
Aldric: to…
Odine: I’ve never, yeah, I’ve never done this before.
GM: huddle?
Odine: Kind of new to this, but what should the plan be? What is everyone’s strengths and weaknesses?
Odine: I’ll go first. I’ve never attacked anyone voluntarily.
Cassian: well you don’t have to worry about that there won’t be any volunteering once you’re in there…
Azrith: what you gotta do is you take something hit them and then you hit them…
Aldric: say the best defense is an offense.
Odine: Okay. An offense. So,
Odine: okay. I mean, are we going to be fighting creatures? Are we going to be fighting people? Uh,
Cassian: yes yes and yes it’s it’s a little bit of everything i wouldn’t worry about it too much yeah…
Azrith: figure it out when we’re in there…
Odine: okay. Okay. Look, I’m… I’m best at, uh… I’m best at… From a distance. But, uh… I need someone to watch out in case I get overwhelmed by something unexpected. Oh,
Cassian: like emotionally oh…
Odine: no, no, not so much that, but let’s just say I’m getting attacked by a beholder. I’ve never done that before. So,
Azrith: hehehe i…
Odine: help. Help me, if I ask for it.
Cassian: of course we’re a team right guys azarith aldrich i…
Odine: Okay. Yes, we’re a team.
Azrith: was a team i…
Aldric: Yes, yes.
Odine: I’m all in here. I’m all in here. I’m just nervous, and I don’t know what to do.
Aldric: We’ve hunted ghosts together now.
Cassian: mean we’re pretty much family at this point ghost hunting everybody…
Azrith: was a team i was a team i was a team yeah…
Aldric: Exactly.
Odine: No problem.
Cassian: ready for the fight yep…
Odine: Well, I feel like I am. Let me triple check my player sheet.
Odine: I have all my hit points and all my spells. So, yeah, I am ready.
GM: All right. Um,
Azrith: well i’m ready yeah…
GM: let’s, uh, let’s see, Christopher, DJ Christopher, you got any, uh, sort of, uh, anticipatory vibes?
GM: For tournaments or even just good kind of vibes.
Odine: Yeah.
Odine: Yeah, let me find that real quick.
GM: Um, we’ll say you all approach the, uh, proving grounds where there is an actual, uh, rigid structure that has been constructed at the top of a 15 foot pit. That has been dug straight into the core of the earth and inside of said pit is a lot of mud. Uh, maybe a few craggy rocks sticking out here and there does not look like the safe safest terrain to be fighting in. Um, but no one said anything about the proving grounds being an illustrious arena. Uh, this is the place where the rough and tumble come to tussle, uh, to make a name for themselves and to prove themselves in front of, um, the smaller crowds at the king’s tourney. Um,
GM: let’s see here.
GM: I need to pull this up to…
GM: perfecto.
Odine: Do you recognize the soundtrack?
GM: Right down. Is it from a video game?
Odine: It is.
Odine: I got a Switch 2, finally. And, uh… Not finally.
GM: Switch to here.
Odine: And I’ve been playing… I’ve been playing Hollow Knight.
Odine: And this is…
GM: Oh,
GM: Hollow Knight.
Odine: Yeah.
GM: Yeah, yeah. I haven’t played that one, but I think I have,
Azrith: it’s familiar…
GM: uh, I think I have heard some of the soundtrack before, actually. Let’s see.
Azrith: i had a feeling it might have been holo night but i was like which part oh…
GM: Mm-hmm. Um,
Odine: All right.
GM: let me go into my tokens here.
GM: All right. Um, as you reach your destination, you are greeted by one of the three game makers that stand at the front of the house. And, uh, a man who is, uh, dressed in, I would say, like, lower noble class regalia, um, and has a small, uh, wooden, uh, clipboard. He comes up with a call sheet to register you all for your first bout. Uh, he does a roll call. All right. I’ve got, what was it? Cassian’s crutches.
Cassian: assians crushing crusaders present…
Aldric: Rushing Crusaders,
GM: Cassian’s crushing crusaders. That’s right. Over here, tent B. And he starts leading you over to the place where you guys will be preparing for your battle.
GM: All right. Roll calls. Cassian here.
GM: I’ve got, uh,
Cassian: ready for a good time…
GM: an Aldrich.
Aldric: that’s me.
GM: Okay. Tall one. Checks your name. And then, uh, who else do we have here? Odin.
Odine: Uh… Uh, yeah. I just kind of wave my hand, and it’s shaking.
GM: And, uh, I can’t, I can’t pronounce this. Whose handwriting is this? And he turns around the clipboard.
Azrith: i’ll…
GM: That’s it. Okay. Well, looks like you’re all here. Uh, where’s your armor? Where’s your weapons?
Aldric: This is it.
GM: You’re going in like this.
Aldric: In all of its glory.
GM: This is. You got a shield and a sword.
Odine: Are we supposed to have armor?
GM: All right. Well, if you’re ready,
GM: then head on.
Cassian: well,
Odine: Wait, wait,
Cassian: yeah,
Odine: wait. What about armor? Are we supposed to have armor?
Cassian: we have the armor of friendship,
Azrith: be fine remember…
Cassian: odin. it’s the armor of friendship. it’s gonna. yeah, of course,
GM: The other,
Cassian: like you, don’t need to worry about it, it’s,
GM: the other squad had quite a bit of armor. I’m like a lot more than you guys. All…
Cassian: it’s just going to weigh them down. don’t, don’t, don’t think about it too much…
Azrith: saving them from necrosis no…
GM: right. Well,
Odine: I’m casting, in response to this, before we go in, gonna cast Mage Armor on my… Oh,
GM: okay.
Cassian: uh,
GM: Perfect.
Cassian: as as kathian is getting ready to walk up to the gate before it opens, he cast: oh, i just forgot the spell. son of a bitch,
Cassian: gotta learn. oh,
Odine: wait.
Odine: Am I casting Mage Armor? Because I think I’m wearing a leather…
Cassian: he cast a light, can trip on his…
Cassian: rapier to make it glow.
Odine: Yeah,
Odine: right there.
Cassian: it’s giving up a little, flourish you…
GM: A little, a little flourish.
GM: I love it. Any other spells, uh, features or incantations that anyone wants to do before heading in?
Azrith: no…
Odine: I pull out my daggers. My Epidion dagger.
GM: All right.
GM: All right. Stairs are over there on the far side of the pits. Good luck.
Odine: How do we know who we’re fighting?
GM: Godspeed.
GM: Oh, they’ll, they’ll be coming down on the opposite side.
Odine: Uh, is it…
GM: The other,
Odine: To the death?
GM: the other game makers are, are getting them ready as we speak.
Odine: Oh, we’re fighting people?
GM: Yes. It’s a tournament.
Odine: Oh, so… To the death? To the death?
Cassian: know the best of the best odin just like us we’re the best i mean i wouldn’t even worry about it that guy’s huge obviously…
GM: Sometimes. It doesn’t have to be to the death.
GM: I mean, you can always yield.
Odine: No, no, no, no, no, no. Okay. Fine, fine, fine.
GM: Most of the time people get, uh, incredibly maimed or injured and pass out, but not always dead.
Odine: This was a horrible idea. Let’s get it over with. How…
Azrith: i’m fine let’s go it’s…
GM: All right. As you guys deliberate, uh, you hear from outside of the tent, uh, cheers from the crowd as the first group enters into the arena. It is time for you all to make your entrance.
Odine: do we get a prime time spot?
Azrith: not i…
Cassian: because they knew we were going to be amazing…
GM: All right.
Odine: Okay.
GM: You guys, uh, you come out of the tent and as you work your way around, you walk halfway around the pits, uh, heads turn, um, from the various logs, spectators seated, um, all along the outsides here on, on the benches and, uh, corners and edges. You have some, some kids that come croaching up to the ledge to, to get a close eye on things. Uh, and particularly up in the box, you notice, um, an area where there seem to be some more important, uh, figureheads and, and scouts and nobles that seem to be, um, laxadaisically paying attention to the fight. Um, they don’t seem like they’re like super eaten to the, uh, onset of the bout. Cassian, you lead the way down first?
Cassian: cassian um pulls out his sword and he touches it as it emanates this glowing just blue and red light just swirling around it, and he’s like: are you ready, my friend?
GM: Uh, yeah. Are you yelling this to the crowd or to your team?
Cassian: a little bit of both. uh, it’s kind of looking at them and looking up and raising the rapier i…
Aldric: Oh,
Aldric: I’ll draw my sword out, put my hand up in the air with it, you know? Kind of like, yeah!
GM: Yeah.
GM: Love it. Uh,
Odine: Let’s do it.
GM: let’s do a, let’s do a performance check, um, from the whole party here as you guys enter.
GM: Uh, this, this check, because are all four of you are rolling, um, you need to,
GM: to meet a 45 in order to gain crowd favor six.
Cassian: rolled a sixth birth guy 20…
Aldric: Okay.
Azrith: rolled a uh i think 14 yeah…
GM: Okay. So we’re at 20.
Aldric: I rolled a 19.
Odine: I did a 14.
GM: A 19. A 19.
Odine: 14 for Odin.
GM: Perfect. Okay. That is a, that is a party success. Um, as you gain one favor with the surrounding crowd, I would say about a quarter of the radius. Um, we’ll, we’ll, we’ll say from about one o’clock to four o’clock. If we’re going to call this like a clock, you know, the, this section up here near you sees you enter, hears your battle cries and sees Aldrick and, um, the rest of you kind of come in with your stature and you get some cheers. Uh, they seem to find you interesting at the, uh, and then you, uh, up from the top of the tower above the pit. Hear a large bell ring out, gong, and the other four start to take, uh, formation and start approaching towards you. So let’s roll for initiative boys.
Odine: Yeah!
Azrith: we started i…
Aldric: Let’s do it. I got a 7.
Azrith: got a nine…
Cassian: yes…
Aldric: I…
Odine: And a 17.
GM: Cassian said 20 and 17 for Odin. Okay. Let’s do some rolls for these guys. Had…
Cassian: sir…
GM: turn.
GM: Hey, I’ve got a 14, an eight, a 20 as well. And then a 16 for this last guy in the back.
GM: Um, these guys all appear to be, um, middle-aged men. Uh, not their armor looks very piecemeal together. It doesn’t look like they, uh, um, are all kind of like kitted out in the same gear. They look like they’ve kind of had to like rape and scrap together this, uh, these weapons and armor. They look more like, uh, strapling farmers, um, maybe here to, to try and like find a way to make some extra coin for their families or something like that. Um, but they do look large and armored and in charge. And at least a couple of them seem like they really know how to wield a sword.
Odine: They look like they want to kill me?
GM: They look like they came here to put on a show. So, they want, they want to prove themselves.
GM: Um, let’s order this. Here.
Cassian: so all right, i’m only seeing the enemies, for some reason,
Cassian: in the turn order i…
GM: You’re not seeing your tokens.
Odine: I can.
GM: Oh.
Aldric: am seeing them.
GM: Some of you can see it and some of you cannot.
GM: How do we fix that?
GM: Let’s see.
Cassian: don’t think it matters too much i mean yeah yeah good idea well…
GM: Maybe, maybe try a refresh for me first if you haven’t done that yet.
GM: Is anyone else having trouble seeing it or everyone else is good?
Azrith: yeah i’ll i’ll just i’ll keep it in my mind yeah…
Cassian: that’s all right i’ll just get an idea so i rolled a 20 uh…
GM: All right.
GM: Okay.
GM: Okay. All right. Um, so let’s see here. I pull up these, um,
GM: pull up these, uh, stat blocks here real quick. Uh,
GM: this first guy’s go and he has 30 feet movement speed. So he will come this far and then he will hold his action.
GM: All right. Cassian, your turn.
Cassian: cassian looks at this farmer and he’s kind of scoff at his, you know, dismal. look a little bit as he, um sort of takes his dice and he rolls and he smiles and there’s a faint purple glow of his dices that’s rolling across his fingers as he casts phantasmal force on this farmer.
GM: I didn’t catch the spell. He cast what? Sorry.
Cassian: phantasmal force: 60 feet with a 10 foot radius 13…
GM: Oh, phantasmal force. Okay. This is a range spell attack. Yes.
GM: 60.
GM: Okay. Very nice. And are you rolling against his armor class then?
Cassian: 13 int is the save yep 13 intellect…
GM: Uh, he needs to roll a save. What kind of save?
GM: Intellect. Interesting.
Odine: Intelligence. Origins. Mmm.
GM: Okay. Intelligence is a, uh, straight. There’s no modifier here. So it’s going to be straight on the dice.
GM: And I rolled a 15.
Cassian: dang it is a first level spell but i’m trying to read there’s a lot to read on this one…
GM: So is this a cantrip?
GM: Yeah. Take your time.
Cassian: okay, hold on, this is strange. let me just let me just paste this into the chat,
Cassian: so we can all maybe take a look, because this one is not like the other ones. yeah…
GM: Yeah.
GM: Phantasmal force is not one I’m super familiar with. It’s psychic damage.
Cassian: i thought i understood it till now yeah…
GM: All right. So you craft an illusion in the mind of the creature. You can see it’s in range. Makes an intel save. On a failed save, you create phantasmal objects. Creature or other phenomenon. Um,
GM: study action. Okay.
GM: Okay. And it doesn’t really say anything about if they save, right?
Cassian: that’s what i was not understanding well in fact uh the targeting study action exam if the checks that sees the target realizes it depends on the illusion of the spell ends so oh…
GM: So I think he, I think he sees whatever image you conjure still. But the, uh, effect and damage does not go through.
GM: So he’s going to save on his study action. Cause he rolled a 15.
Cassian: yes, yep, so no damage. it’s so okay, i get it. so it’s actually a area of effect spell,
Cassian: so it’s there permanently, so everybody has to save on it now, so yep…
GM: Yep.
GM: It’s an area. Yeah. Okay. So let’s, yeah. So it, as long as you maintain concentration, anyone that walks through it has to make the check.
Cassian: so cassian, seeing these farmers, he, uh, cast a rabid, dire wolf illusion in front of them,
Cassian: right in front of this guy…
GM: Perfect.
GM: Ping. Yeah. The, this square directly in front of him. We’ll leave that there then. Or we’ll kind of put it that he’s inside of it. So he’s had to make his check there.
GM: And so you are now concentrating on that.
Cassian: one minute and…
GM: Okay.
GM: There is no concentration tag. That’s interesting. We’ll use yellow. I will indicate.
Cassian: then cassian takes a couple of steps backwards asian…
GM: Okay. Position. Awesome. Oh, Dean, that takes us to your turn.
Odine: I’m gonna… Bonus action. Activate my innate sorcery. Innate sorcery. Which, for one minute, it allows the magic within me just to shimmer throughout my body, basically. So that’s… It’ll give me an additional to every attack roll. And one to date to… No, it won’t… Adds one of my spell save DCs, but also I have advantage on concentration. Oh,
GM: Great.
Odine: no, I have advantage on attack rolls for sorcerer spells, so…
GM: Okay.
Odine: I’m gonna pivot down around… I’m gonna take… So… Do diagonal for three, four, five, six… If that’s okay. Trying to stick outside of 30 feet of this guy. Two, three, four, five… Maybe I’m not. I won’t go diagonal. I’m just gonna go straight down here then. And… I am casting… Make sure I have my…
Odine: Yeah, I’m gonna cast Witch Bolt on that dude right there.
Odine: Because that’s within it. So… Yeah, that’s not a sorcerer spell, though, so I only roll straight. That is… That is a 24 to hit.
GM: This one.
GM: 24 hits.
Odine: It locks in and does nine thunder damage or lightning damage. And…
GM: And it,
Odine: And an arc of energy is…
GM: this attaches to him, right?
Odine: Yes, an arc of energy is now connecting the two of us together like a shimmering electric arc. So…
GM: So cool.
Odine: And that’s my turn.
GM: Awesome.
Odine: That’s one of my packed spells.
GM: Okay.
GM: And that was, that was how much again? Sorry.
Odine: Sorry, that was nine lightning damage.
GM: Nine lightning. Okay. Got it.
GM: Awesome. Um, the lightning all goes through and, um, you moving anywhere or staying there? Do…
Odine: Staying right there. I went as far as I could go. Already.
GM: a line here.
Odine: The spell has a range of stick defeat. So…
GM: Let’s see.
GM: Yeah. You’re well within range. I think you’re like 40 or something.
Odine: Yeah, yeah.
GM: All right.
Odine: 35 or 40, yeah.
GM: All right. This guy’s going to move over here. Uh, and he is going to pull out a crossbow and he has multi attack. He will use one to shoot and the other to reload. And I think he’s going to take aim at you, Cassian.
GM: So, um,
GM: that is only a nine after modifiers.
GM: That’s probably a miss.
Cassian: just kind of steps to the side as the crossbolt flies next to him,
Cassian: kind of just brushes his shoulder off, and…
GM: Nice dodge.
GM: Um, and that is, I think, everything he can do on his turn.
GM: Yep. Okay. So then that takes us to this guy. And he is going to, he’s going to position here and also hold his action.
GM: Who’s next?
Aldric: Ezra, I believe.
Azrith: i can’t see myself. oh my bad.
GM: Azrath.
GM: Azrath, you ready?
GM: Your turn.
Azrith: yeah,
Azrith: i am going to.
Odine: Yeah, I can’t see the initiative order. But that’s all good.
Aldric: I know.
Aldric: Fit it down.
Azrith: i’m going to cast bless on my three companions here, so they each get a additional 1d4 to any attack.
Azrith: roll or save 30 feet, which all of you are within the area,
Odine: Yeah, with how far within range.
Azrith: i’m pretty sure. i checked and then after this, stays with you, so i can move forward a little bit right right here, and that is my turn you…
GM: All right.
GM: This guy is going to move. And then I think he will also do a dash and then he will stay there.
GM: Aldrick, that takes us to your turn.
Aldric: Yes, yes it does.
Aldric: Let’s see. How…
GM: They’ve got their frontline in the back line. They’re ready to go. What do you want to do?
Aldric: many? I can move 30 feet.
GM: Yep.
Cassian: you can dash for 60…
Aldric: I think… I… Yeah,
GM: There should be a, there should be a ruler tool or a measure tool on their tab on the side too, if you need it.
Aldric: I saw that.
GM: Yeah. There you go. That way you can kind of tell which squares you can get to.
Aldric: Yeah, okay. I think that I am going to move over to this guy.
Aldric: And I’m going to attack with my greatsword.
GM: Great.
GM: Let a rip roll for attack.
Odine: Great.
Aldric: I believe that’s it. Yes. Yes, it is. I got a 12.
GM: Um, let’s see here.
GM: Uh, 12 is a miss.
GM: Your sword glances off of his paw.
Odine: You have a…
Azrith: have a 1d4 extra. if you want,
Aldric: Oh, that’s right, huh?
Azrith: yep,
Aldric: I’ll… I’ll… I’ll add that.
GM: Okay.
Azrith: it’s until you have 1d4 every.
Azrith: all of you have 1d4 until i lose concentration or the minute ends every attack or save, oh…
GM: Nice. On every attack.
Cassian: nice heck yeah…
Odine: Mm-hmm.
GM: Nice. Powerful.
GM: Good buff. Good buff. We’ll roll it and see if that gets you there.
Aldric: Am I re-rolling my attack?
GM: Nope.
Azrith: you just roll a 1d4…
GM: You just roll a D4 and add it to the top.
Aldric: Oh,
Aldric: oh, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Let me find my d4.
GM: What did you say? You rolled a 12?
Aldric: Yeah,
Aldric: that was my first roll.
Odine: Yeah.
GM: Yeah. Roll, roll your D4 and see what the outcome is here.
Aldric: There’s my d4.
Aldric: I got a 4.
GM: Okay. So for a total of 16,
GM: that is, that is still lower than his armor class.
Aldric: Yep.
Aldric: Oh, my God.
GM: Yep. Yep. Mm-hmm.
Odine: Full D4 there, too. Nice.
Azrith: mhm…
GM: Yep. Mostly due to his armor, it glances off of his pauldrons. Okay.
GM: Um, that takes us to this guy. Um, he is going to close in on you, Azerith. Uh, and he is going to take two swings at you with his long sword.
GM: So for the first one, uh, let me find his to hit modifier. Here we go.
GM: Uh, does a 12 hit you? No.
GM: So the first one is going to be a miss then. As you nimbly dodge out of the way. The second will be a 16 to hit.
Azrith: no…
GM: That’s a hit.
Azrith: yep yeah…
GM: All right. And then you are going to take some slashing damage here for, for slashing damage.
GM: Uh, this is the one that has the shield, by the way. The other two over here do not.
GM: Cassian, we’re back to you.
Cassian: fair…
Cassian: guys, just look at this one thing here, all quick.
Aldric: All good. I…
Cassian: um, cassian has been rolling his dice and he quickly pockets the dice in and he kind of crouches over, and all of a sudden two massive sets of gold wings emerge from his back. as he casts heavenly wings and he flies 30 feet into the air, he looks down at the guy. uh, the farmer, this is the guy that shot him with the crossbow right.
Cassian: he looks down at him and he says i would have, i would have thought a competitor in here would have been a better shot, as his hands kind of start to swirl with this purple energy and it turns into a sharp crackling beam directed right at the farmer slash warrior as he casts eldritch blast…
GM: Mm-hmm.
GM: This one.
GM: Eldritch blast. Roll your attack, sir.
Cassian: 19 to hit…
GM: Oh, yeah. That hits.
GM: Roll damage.
Cassian: six damage…
GM: Six force. Yes.
Odine: You have agonizing blast or repealing blast, also?
Cassian: i do have agonizing blast.
Cassian: i think it’s already added in there in db because it already says plus three. unless that’s the default for eldritch blast, it’s not so.
Odine: Add… In addition to that six will be your charisma modifier, also.
GM: Mm-hmm. Very good.
GM: So you rolled a one?
Odine: That’s…
Odine: Is it? Let me… Okay, yeah. All right.
Odine: I think it’s the default is your charisma modifier. Then you can add your charisma again,
Cassian: uh,
Odine: I think.
Cassian: you hurl beam of crackling energy 1d 10 force damage. the spell creates two beams. level five: yeah, no, it’s kind of mediocre until level five and then it does one,
Odine: But… Okay,
Cassian: then it does duty 20…
GM: Okay.
Odine: cool. No, yeah. All right.
Odine: So, yeah.
Cassian: yeah so six damage the…
Odine: It’s already included your charisma modifier, then. So that’s…
GM: Good.
GM: Okay,
Odine: Okay, cool.
GM: so six total then.
Odine: Yeah.
GM: All right.
Odine: Yeah. Got…
GM: All right. And, uh, just to be clear, that was on this melee, or this ranged guy in the back, right?
Cassian: range guy in the back i…
GM: Uh, and then any movement. You’re on your turn, or you’re now in the air, correct?
Cassian: moved 30 feet up into the air…
GM: Okay,
GM: so 30 feet up.
GM: Put some wings on ya.
Cassian: oh,
GM: All right.
Cassian: oh,
GM: Uh,
Cassian: uh,
GM: um,
Cassian: if you don’t mind dm, i’ll just take it. uh, uh, i guess i get 2d radiant damage addition to any spell or attack once per long rest with, uh, heavenly wings.
GM: you want to add it now?
Cassian: yeah, i’ll add it now if that’s all right with you all…
GM: Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Once per long rest. That’s cool.
GM: You guys are pulling out some spells.
Odine: to take out…
GM: I’ve never heard of it.
Odine: Got to take out the… Got to take out the long shot here.
GM: Yep. So…
Cassian: right that’s that’s it eight damage not…
GM: what was the total with the Radiant?
GM: Okay. So that puts him at a total of 14 then.
GM: Uh, nice. Yep. He winces at your, uh, force and, and light damage, blasting him from the air. Um, and then we go back over to Odin, um, which your, your, uh, bolt is connected to this guy.
Odine: Yeah, I was trying to move it. Couldn’t. But, yeah. I’m going to use bonus action to discharge that bolt, which will be an additional 1D12. roll that real quick.
Odine: That’s going to be three lightning damage. That’s my bonus action.
GM: Nice.
Odine: But I am going to pivot this way. 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, right here. And then… Let me see.
Odine: Who’s taken damage so far? I’m sorry. Has Azeroth? Yeah. All right, cool. We’re going to…
Odine: All right, cool. I’m going to cast Sorceress Burst on the guy I am also attached to. This is a cantrip.
Odine: So… This is with advantage.
Odine: Oh, my gosh. That’s an 11 to hit.
Odine: With advantage, no less.
Odine: Yeah, and I don’t even think a 4 would make up for it, even if I roll it. So… Yeah, that’s my turn.
Odine: It’s a… Sorceress… Yeah, it’s a cantrip, though. So…
Odine: Yeah. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. And I don’t lose the… Sorry, the Witch Bolt’s attached for a minute or… until I go unconscious, I think.
GM: Um, yeah. I think he’s now, like,
GM: repostured in between you and Azerith and is now contemplating who to go for next.
Odine: So… You’re…
GM: And then we go back up to this guy. His, uh, bolt is already charged, locked, and loaded. I think he’ll just shift over a few here and then take another attack at you, Cassian.
Cassian: me oh the witch oh yeah yeah crossbow guy sorry sorry sorry…
GM: The crossbow guy. Yeah. Uh, that is a 15 to hit.
Cassian: that is a hit…
GM: Right.
GM: From the heavy crossbow. Four plus three for seven piercing damage, sir.
Cassian: seven damage…
GM: And then he will use his other action to reload his crossbow. So,
GM: and now we go to this fellow, he is going to move up 10 feet and is now going to take some swipes on Aldrich.
Odine: muted.
Azrith: i’m really quick.
GM: Yes.
Azrith: uh, the crossbow guy was he in? was he in? would you say? he’s in my line of sight when he shot at again.
Azrith: forget names when you get like cast him…
GM: He is like directly,
Cassian: crassian…
GM: he’s like directly behind the guy that’s standing in front of you, but he’s within 35 feet of you.
Azrith: but was he in line of sight, yes or no?
GM: I would say like half cover maybe just because of that. He’s behind this guy.
Azrith: okay, well, i, as a reaction, i’m able to do the my curse of the eyeless.
GM: Mm-hmm.
Azrith: and you said he’s how far away. okay,
GM: 35 feet.
Azrith: never mind, i’m not able to do it.
GM: Is that just outside of range?
Azrith: it’s, it’s, it’s, it’s a someone i see within 30 feet, yeah…
GM: Okay. Yep. I think, I think he’s just a smidge too far then. Um, if he repositions though, to like the other side on your next turn, I think you’d be close enough.
Azrith: okay yeah…
GM: And that would have been a, is that your, your eye is a reaction?
Azrith: it’s a reaction…
GM: Okay. Yeah. Unfortunately, I think he’s just outside of that.
Azrith: oh good uh…
GM: Um, all right. So this guy’s going to take two attacks on you, Aldrich. Uh, the first one is a 17 to hit.
Aldric: mean, I have an armor class of 8. I…
GM: Is that with that? You’re 18 with your shield, right?
Aldric: think I have my shield currently equipped.
Aldric: I know I… I do have it equipped, actually.
GM: Okay.
GM: So that will be a miss.
Aldric: That gives me…
Aldric: Yeah, that’s 8.
GM: All right.
Aldric: Plus 3. Plus 3, I think?
Cassian: what’s your armor class total 18 that’s your total with chill i…
GM: And yeah, both, uh,
Aldric: Armor… My armor class total is 8.
GM: both of his, both of his attacks are going to miss you then. So, um, how is it that your character defends himself? Is he dodging? Is he parrying? What are you doing to kind of counter, counter attack this guy?
Aldric: So… So, for the first attack, he swings in, right? He catches my blade. I kind of deflect it. And then for the second one, I just… I just kind of dodge it. I use the first one as an open… and opening the kind of… move. He…
GM: Love it. Uh, Azeroth. I think that takes us back to you now.
Azrith: i am going to i’m going to use uh cast cantrip kill touch that…
GM: Chilling touch.
Azrith: is a dirty 20 to hit,
Azrith: and so he takes seven, i believe, necrotic damage. yep, seven necrotic damage.
GM: Hits.
GM: Okay.
Azrith: and then, as bonus action, i’m going to activate mike simpson right, which takes 1, 1d4 away from my,
Azrith: takes away three.
GM: Nice.
GM: Okay. And then that gives you a buff.
Azrith: that does give me a buff…
GM: Hemalergy.
Azrith: oh yeah and that is my turn…
GM: Great. Uh, he is now looking bruised. So typically I’ll use, uh, bruised as kind of the classification for half health and bloodied for under 10% of their health. So he’s, he’s looking a little beat up now from these hits. And then, um, this guy is going to continue, uh, swiping against Aldrich.
Aldric: doesn’t like me. Yeah,
Azrith: d4…
GM: No, he doesn’t. He wants to get you. Um,
GM: that one’s a 19 to hit and a 15, which will miss you, I believe.
Aldric: that definitely hits.
Aldric: Yeah.
GM: So he is going to do,
GM: sorry, I rolled the wrong dice. One second here.
GM: So this is going to be 14, uh, slashing damage. Um,
GM: as you’re kind of dodging from this other guy, he seizes the opportunity with your movement to come down on you.
GM: And it is now your turn to react.
Aldric: What is that?
Aldric: How many… I take one… One attack turn, correct?
GM: So you are a fighter.
Cassian: think it’s level five for double attack…
GM: Um,
GM: yeah, I think you’re right. Um, so you do have an action surge once per short rest, um, where you can take an additional action. Um, you can do that, uh, anytime you rest short or long rest, that ability will reset. So if there’s ever a time where you need to take a second action, you can do that. Uh,
GM: you can also decide to do that after you take your first attack or save it. So it’s up to you.
Aldric: Okay.
Aldric: I think, for now… Uh… Aldric… He kind of goes for more of an overhead strike. Kind of… How do I explain it? He… He draws it down, back, and over, right?
GM: Okay.
Aldric: Uh… And that’s just gonna be a…
Aldric: Basic greatsword attack.
GM: So as a battle master,
GM: you also have four uses of superiority dice per short rest.
Aldric: Mm-hmm.
Aldric: Yeah,
Aldric: I was looking at that.
GM: If you want,
GM: you can also make this a disarming attack by spending one of those, uh, spending one of those four superiority dice.
Aldric: Oh…
Aldric: Okay.
GM: If you hit, you, you can, you can do this if you hit, so you can spend the dice and then add what you roll on that dice to your damage roll. And then the target has to succeed on a strength saving throw or drop one object of your choice that they’re holding.
GM: So it could be their sword or their shield.
Aldric: Okay.
Aldric: Okay.
Aldric: Then… How about… How about I use… Maneuver Disarming Strike with… Or Disarming Attack with my, uh… Strength.
GM: Okay. So first you just roll your, your D 20 test here and then add your hit modifier for your great sword, which is a plus five.
Aldric: I’ve got an 8 there. Plus my… Strength, you said?
Cassian: plus five do…
GM: Yep.
Aldric: Plus 5? So it’s 8 plus 5.
GM: Plus five 13. Uh,
Aldric: Yeah.
GM: that is a miss.
Azrith: my d4 oh…
GM: So he,
GM: he sees you rearing your sword up above head.
Odine: Plus a d4.
Odine: Plus a d4.
GM: Oh,
Odine: Plus a d4.
GM: you do have the D four. You do have the D four.
Aldric: All right.
Azrith: i can’t forget the d4…
Aldric: He…
Aldric: He’s convinced me. He’s got me… He’s got me in a psychosis, here.
GM: Definitely, definitely, definitely roll and add that a…
Aldric: Okay. Wait, let me grab this game. That’s the wrong guy.
Aldric: I got a 1.
GM: one. So it’s a 14 total.
Azrith: plus one…
GM: And yes, that is still a miss. So, uh, he’s going to kind of sidestep.
GM: He’s going to do a little half roll dodge move and get out of the way in your sword down. Um, let’s see if you have anything else.
Aldric: All right. All right.
GM: Um,
GM: I think that’s probably it. Um, unless you want to reposition at all,
GM: do you like where you’re at for now?
Aldric: Um…
Aldric: I think… I am going to take… A couple steps back.
GM: Okay. Just,
Cassian: you want to disengage with…
Aldric: I’ve got a lot going on, and…
GM: just,
Aldric: You know? I got…
GM: just know that if you leave melee range, like if you’re within range,
Aldric: Yeah. Yeah.
GM: five feet of an enemy that is using melee weapons, they can spend their reaction when you leave their circle to take an additional attack against you.
Aldric: Yeah. Yeah, I…
Cassian: the exception that you have the ability to disengage, right?
GM: That’s if he uses an action or, or,
GM: or has something that allows him to do it as a bonus. Um,
Cassian: doesn’t his support ready dice?
Cassian: do that i’d,
Odine: He just used one, though.
Cassian: as he did not choose to use it,
GM: he didn’t use,
Odine: Oh,
Odine: no, he didn’t.
GM: so you’re right. He actually has evasive footwork.
GM: So you actually can do that. You can, you could spend a superiority dice, take the disengage action as a bonus action, and then rolling the die and adding the result to your AC until the start of your next turn. So you could do that.
Cassian: so…
Cassian: it increases your chance of not being hit on your way out.
GM: Yeah, that’s good.
Aldric: Got it.
GM: Do you want to do that?
Aldric: Yeah.
Cassian: you’re getting hit by two dudes.
GM: Yeah,
Cassian: i would definitely do that…
GM: that, that’s a great idea. So, um, that will avoid both of their reaction attacks and then roll the dice and we’ll add that to your AC.
GM: So it should be a D D eight,
Aldric: That’s 1…
Aldric: Yeah.
GM: right?
Cassian: one d8 you can roll technically i think as many as you want yeah…
Aldric: 1d8.
Odine: D8.
Aldric: I got a 1.
GM: Uh, is that a D eight?
Odine: I think you can roll as many as you want, but…
Cassian: i mean you have to. you can roll up to four, but uh,
Aldric: Okay.
Cassian: i mean you’re already at 18, so you’re at 19,
Cassian: so chances are good for you i…
Aldric: Well,
Aldric: I got another 1. All…
Odine: Gosh, yeah.
Azrith: wanna try again…
Cassian: think 20 is probably all right if you short…
Aldric: right. There you go,
Aldric: guys.
Azrith: yeah…
Aldric: I got a 7.
GM: Okay.
Odine: You spent… You spent three dice there, but that’s okay.
Aldric: I know.
Odine: You’re good.
Cassian: rest recovers them all dude don’t worry about it…
Odine: Yeah, it does.
Azrith: mhm…
Odine: Yeah, you’re good. Heck yeah.
GM: So, so plus nine to AC.
Odine: Yeah.
GM: All right.
Odine: That makes you a…
GM: What does that put you at? You’re at like 27.
Cassian: 27 oh…
Odine: 27 until the top of his next turn. Yeah.
GM: Yeah. Yeah.
GM: Yeah. You’re like unhittable.
Aldric: Cool, cool.
Azrith: mortal being too fast…
GM: You got the zoomies. You got the zoomies is what you got.
GM: All right.
GM: At the, at the top of the next round, because of all of your performances, this round, um, I need another party performance check here. And I’m actually reducing the DC to 40 to gain an additional favor with the crowd.
Aldric: All right.
Aldric: Mm-mm-mm. You guys are going to love this.
Azrith: oh, oh, no,
Cassian: you’re gonna love this even more natural one…
Aldric: Oh…
Azrith: oh no,
Azrith: i got,
GM: No,
GM: that one and a four that puts you at 20…
Aldric: Oh…
Aldric: I got…
Azrith: i got a 15. if that helps anything, that’s…
Aldric: I got a 1,
Odine: And I got a 12.
Aldric: guys.
Cassian: um,
GM: So that’s you at 32 total,
Cassian: hold on. um,
GM: and…
Cassian: uh, uh. cassian sees that his performance is an exciting the crowd and he reaches his hand into his pocket and rolls it around, and he rolls another performance day. oh geez, for an eight,
Cassian: using a luck point, dude…
GM: eight instead of a four. Correct.
GM: Okay. Perfect.
GM: That puts you at 36 out of 40.
GM: Anyone else got anything in the tool bag? A…
Odine: What was… Sorry, what was… Aldrich’s result? I don’t see… A 1.
GM: natural one.
Aldric: I didn’t roll it in.
Odine: You don’t have any modifier?
Cassian: did you just run one…
Azrith: my actual oh…
GM: Uh,
Aldric: Oh, wait. I do have a modifier.
GM: you guys have point.
GM: I think you guys all have a point of inspiration. Did I not give one out at the first session?
Aldric: Do it…
Azrith: that’s true…
GM: If you want,
GM: you can use your heroic inspiration. It,
Aldric: What…
Aldric: What do…
GM: uh,
Aldric: What… Do I add a performance? My performance modifier to that?
Cassian: yes sir…
Odine: Yeah,
Odine: yeah,
Odine: you add a performance modifier.
Aldric: Okay.
GM: I do.
Aldric: Then…
GM: Yes.
Aldric: Then mine would technically be 2.
Azrith: yeah like…
GM: Okay.
Odine: Okay.
Odine: Still not enough.
GM: Oh, you’re,
Aldric: Wow.
GM: you’re still three points away. And either.
Odine: I will use my heroic inspiration.
GM: What was your role though? Oh, Dean yours was.
Odine: I was a 12.
GM: I think it, I think you’re better off if either, uh, Caffeine or Aldrick re-roll here.
Odine: Seth or…
Cassian: cassian’s…
GM: I’ll,
Azrith: aldrey…
GM: I’ll allow you. Christopher, I’ll allow you to give your heroic inspiration to them. If you would like to do that.
Odine: Yeah,
Odine: yeah, yeah. Aldrich. You’ve got this, Aldrich. Good move. And I’m inspiring you to roll again.
Aldric: Let us… Let us see. We got a 9 plus 1, so 10.
Azrith: yeah…
GM: All right.
Odine: That’ll do it.
GM: That gets you there. That gets you there. So, uh, the, the crowd after these blows are exchanged starts to rouse and about half now of the onlookers are paying attention, including now a particular individual, uh, up here in the booth seems to have like walked over to the table with his drink, um, and is now actually paying attention to the fight. Um, okay. Uh, at the top of the round, we have this guy, um, and I think he’s now decided to leave Azerith and target Odin. Azerith, this gives you an opportunity attack. If you’d like to take it, the…
Azrith: yep,
Azrith: i’m gonna hit him with my skimitar simitar,
Odine: Scimitar.
GM: skim, skim a little off the top. Okay.
Azrith: that is 13 to hit, and then i get my 1d4. no, i don’t have it, nevermind…
GM: That’s going to fall short of his AC. So that will be a miss. Um, as you chink off of the, his back of his breastplate and he is going to make an attack on Odin, uh, two, actually, he has multi-attack with his long sword. Uh, that is a 15 to hit on the first one.
Odine: Just meets it, so I don’t think it succeeds. Unless it does.
GM: Um,
Odine: Is that how it works?
GM: meets it,
Odine: Meets it,
GM: beats it.
Odine: beats it. Yep.
GM: Uh,
Odine: Yep.
GM: the second is a 12 though. So that one will miss.
Odine: Okay.
GM: Um, so you only take one, uh, from his blade. He’s wearing a shield. So this is one D six plus three. So six slashing damage.
Odine: Cool. And my con save to maintain concentration was a 10.
Odine: And yeah.
GM: Okay.
GM: That’s what you rolled or that’s the PC. Yep. 10 succeeds.
Odine: That’s what I rolled.
GM: Okay. That’s a success.
Odine: Damage?
GM: So, uh, now we go to Cassian’s turn.
GM: Angelic warlock up in the air, flying around with golden wings. Mm-hmm. Um, well, what would you like to do?
Cassian: cassian’s phantasmal golden wings uh-huh uh so um cassian kind of starts to uh have a little glue shimmer around him but at the same time a blue shimmer around him at the same time uh the same purple swirling around his hands as he shoots a beam of eldritch blast at the archer…
Cassian: 19 to hit for…
GM: That is a hit…
Cassian: six damage as…
GM: six damage. All right. This guy is also bruised here now.
Cassian: as soon as he finishes casting his eldritch blast he misty steps…
Cassian: right behind aldritch…
GM: Nice.
Cassian: and now he’s hovering about 15 feet in the air uh…
GM: Mm-hmm.
GM: Awesome. Odin, that takes us to your turn.
Odine: Okay. I’m gonna… I’m debating on…
Odine: Yeah, I’m gonna do this. I’m gonna do a disengage action and then bonus action cast armor of Agathus on me, which basically just makes me…
Odine: doesn’t increase my armor class at all, but it gives me 10… 5 hit points. 5 temporary hit points and then anyone that hits me with a melee attack takes 5 cold damage.
GM: Nice.
Odine: actually, you know what? I’m gonna just… I’m not gonna disengage. I’m gonna… do that… and goading an attack this way. 6 paces. So, does he want to make it?
GM: Yeah. I think, uh, I think he’s going to fall for that.
GM: Uh, a, a 12.
Odine: It misses.
GM: Okay. Swing, swing and a whiff.
Odine: But it has to hit for them to take the damage. That’s fine.
Odine: Swing and a whiff, but I am now away, which because I bonus actioned that one spell, I get a full spell. I can do a… Well,
GM: Okay.
GM: Look.
Odine: I can do a cantrip because it was a leveled spell. So, I’m going to… Because he hit me and I’m now emotional, like, I am going to… Like, you see this magical energy seething within me almost as if my body is unable to control what’s about to happen. And, you know, the stress of everything going on, something erupts from my hands and I make an Eldritch Blast attack on him with a nat 1 to hit.
Azrith: you can use the d4 hehehehe hehehehe hehehehe uh…
GM: Before.
Odine: It’s not going to succeed.
Odine: That misses. Fun while it lasted. I had an idea, but that’s all good.
GM: Yeah.
Odine: That’s my turn.
GM: Yep. Just, uh, just a little out of practice and too far away.
GM: Just shoots off to the side into the dirt.
Odine: No,
Odine: but I will say it looks like I can’t control this spell. This spell is coming from something else inside me.
GM: Yeah. Yep.
Odine: And it whiffs,
Odine: hits like a tent pole or a flag pole and, like, it just obliterates it.
GM: Mm-hmm.
GM: Yep. There’s a chaos in the casting. Okay. Uh, let’s see. I think we’re going to have this guy start to move in here. Um, and I think he just wants to keep going for Cassian. Cassian’s the little, uh, the little fly in his eye. Yeah, he can’t take his eyes off of you.
GM: And that is a 22 to hit.
Cassian: as cassian um sees him raising his crossbow,
Cassian: he reaches in and touches his dice and a sense comes over the archer and he has to roll again for disadvantage that’s…
GM: Ooh, okay.
GM: Disadvantage.
GM: Um, and what feature is that coming from? That’s your item.
Cassian: that is my luck look does that work on attacks right when uh…
GM: Oh, your luck point. All right. Remind me with luck.
GM: Do I have to take the lower of the two or is it the new role?
GM: Are you using 2024 luck?
Cassian: you know, i’m not totally sure how that works. maybe i’m misusing that.
GM: Your class, your class is 2024,
Cassian: yeah,
GM: correct?
Cassian: lucky point, you know,
Cassian: i don’t think that works. yeah, yeah, yep, so…
GM: Okay.
GM: I think there was a change to the feat. I just can’t remember what it was.
GM: It’s the luck. Is it the lucky feat that you’re using?
Cassian: yeah…
GM: Yeah. Okay. So,
Cassian: yep they’ll take the lower result that’s what i thought okay…
GM: okay. Okay. Well, um, it’s going to be the, it’s going to be the 23 to hit then. Cause I rolled a natural 20 on my re-roll.
GM: So, but you are not crit.
Cassian: all right because he took the lower all right great…
GM: Um, so yeah,
GM: yeah. Just take the lower one. So, uh, for the damage, it’s going to be 15 piercing. Gets here right in the gizzard. That’s actually, that’s max, uh, max damage that he could roll there.
Cassian: pass the in passian wings crumple underneath and as he falls to the ground right behind aldrick i’m…
GM: Need a concentration save from you two on your, uh, phantasmal.
Cassian: dead yo i’m down…
GM: Oh, you’re downed.
GM: Oof, oof, oof, oof. Incapacitati auto. All right. All right. Uh, Hassian on the ground. Azrith, I think you hear the thump behind you. Uh, you fell 15 feet, right?
GM: I think that means, unfortunately, you take some fall damage here. So, three fall damage and you mark, uh, death save. From taking damage while incapacitated.
Cassian: one failure that’ll…
GM: Yeah. All right. Countdown has started, my friend. Uh, this guy just sniped you out of the air. And now, this guy gets a little grimace on his face as the tides seem to be turning in their favor a bit. Um, this guy’s going to run over, uh, take his attacks on Azrith. Azrith,
GM: that’s a 12 to hit. What’s your AC?
Azrith: 15 miss…
Odine: Miss. He…
GM: Okay. Swing and a miss. Um, the second’s 14. So, you dodge both attacks, Azrith.
GM: Nimble little tiefling.
Azrith: me miss me miss me now you got it…
GM: And, you also happen to be right after him. So, how do you want to react to that?
Azrith: i am going to hit back with my weapons. uh, my never get to pronounce anything right.
Azrith: i’m just gonna say: sword my blade and that’s a 7.
GM: Yes. The scimitar.
Azrith: i’m gonna then go on with to try with my dagger, because i have 2 weapons.
GM: Uh, seven is a miss.
GM: Yep. Yep.
Azrith: uh, that’s an 8 i…
GM: Eight is also a miss.
GM: An exchange of blows between these two fighters. Neither seem to be able to hit each other as they are locked in dangerous combat. Um,
GM: staying where you are.
Azrith: mean yeah…
GM: This guy sees Aldrich, uh, disengaging and is going to pursue. I don’t know if it’s even worth rolling the dice, but I’m going to, anyways, I can’t get a 27. They don’t have high enough fighters.
Azrith: get a 27 hehehehe hehehehe hehehehe you…
GM: So, you are just dodge, duck, dip, diving, and dodging, my friend, as he comes at you with a Florida blows. Um, interesting turn order that you guys are like one after each other. But, yeah, Aldrich, that takes us back to you now to react to him coming after you.
Aldric: Moving up 1 space wouldn’t disengage, right? I’m…
GM: Uh, no. It’s only if you leave their circle so you can move to any of these spaces around him without, um, creating an opportunity attack. It’s when you leave further than that.
Aldric: going to move right here. And then I’m going to… Let’s see. What are my headphones doing? Going to cast Firebolt…
GM: Oh, nice.
Aldric: On… This guy. The Archer.
GM: Yep.
Aldric: Let me roll for that.
GM: Perfect.
GM: Yeah, roll your attack.
Aldric: Ah, I got off. I…
GM: A five.
Aldric: Yep.
GM: Do you want to roll your heroic inspiration and re-roll your attack?
Azrith: also have the 1d4 i’m…
GM: Yeah, but I don’t think,
Aldric: I don’t think plus 4.
GM: uh, D4 is going to get in past a five.
Aldric: No.
Azrith: just saying you can also use that on top of your rug if you want…
GM: Yeah.
Aldric: Yeah.
GM: You can.
Aldric: I’ll… I’ll use my Heroic Inspiration, you know.
GM: Yep.
Aldric: I kind of bang my shield on my chest. Like, yeah! And I’ll…
Aldric: Reroll. What is my… Where’s that guy? There we go.
Aldric: We got a 7.
GM: Seven plus D4 if you want to add.
Aldric: 4.
Aldric: Yes, yes.
Odine: just rolled a d12. You should roll that again.
GM: Oh,
Azrith: mhm…
GM: yeah. Make sure you’re rolling a D20.
Odine: That wasn’t your d20.
Aldric: Yeah,
Aldric: I’ll just roll this guy down.
GM: Good catch,
GM: Christopher. Good catch.
Odine: The last one, the last one was also a d10. So, yeah.
GM: So then you’ll, yeah, let’s refund your heroic inspiration and make sure you’re, um,
GM: rolling the correct dice there.
Odine: Yeah.
GM: So this will be your first attack.
Aldric: Oh, okay.
Aldric: Oh, okay, okay.
Odine: So it should be the, it should be the button in front of the damage button.
Aldric: Yeah.
GM: I just added your heroic inspiration mark back to your character sheet.
GM: So what do we get now?
Aldric: This domain? Yeah, that’s the right guy.
GM: Mm-hmm.
Aldric: 20.
GM: Ow.
Odine: 20?
GM: So non-natural, that’s after modifiers,
GM: or you rolled 20 on the dice.
Aldric: That’s after…
Aldric: That’s after modifier. So,
GM: Okay. All right.
Aldric: 17 plus 3.
GM: All right. That is a hit. Um, and roll your damage.
Aldric: And that’s the D…
Cassian: be your one two ten…
Aldric: That’s the D10. Got it. I’m understanding.
GM: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Aldric: I got a 10.
Odine: That’s 10.
GM: Uh, Aldrich, how do you want to do this?
Aldric: So,
GM: You knocked this guy out. Why don’t you describe what this looks like for us?
Aldric: I kind of… I want to kind of… I want to charge it up. I want it to be intense. I want his buddy to be looking at me like, What’s this guy about to do? Like… Yeah, like, literally, like…
Cassian: where…
Aldric: And I blast this guy. And I kind of make it so where when the flames impact, they kind of burst and shoot out towards the crowd. Not enough to do anything. But, you know. Kind of make it flare.
GM: Ha ha ha ha.
GM: Yep.
Odine: Heck yeah. It…
GM: I love that.
GM: Um, I will leave this up to you on if you want this to be, an incapacitation, or if you want this to be lethal. It’s up to you.
Aldric: I… I think I’m going to incapacitate him. And that’s it.
GM: Okay. He is knocked out and down prone. Um, great job. Um, you stand there.
Aldric: Yeah. This is…
GM: Where do you want to move?
Aldric: I’ll stand my ground.
GM: Okay.
GM: Um, all right.
GM: Yep. Seeing that Cassian is down. Odette is baiting him. I think he’s going to come with you, Odin. He’s going to pursue.
GM: So, let’s go ahead and roll his two attacks for you.
GM: Uh, that’s a 17 to hit.
Odine: hits.
GM: And a 10. So that will miss you.
GM: Six more slashing damage.
Odine: How much damage?
Odine: He takes five cold damage and I no longer have Armor of Agathus.
GM: Total of six. He takes five cold.
GM: Okay. As your ice armor shatters. That’s the end of his turn. Uh, Cassian, I need a death saving throw from you, my friend.
GM: Big money.
Odine: No,
GM: No whammy.
Odine: now.
Cassian: did my just regular dice roll go on roll 20 oh there it is we…
Cassian: got that nine oh…
GM: Nine.
GM: Nine is a fail. Uh, but before you mark it, Cassian, I’m going to let you just know as a reminder, you do still have your heroic inspiration. You can’t apply it to death saves. I will leave that up to you.
Odine: It’s another one…
Azrith: also technically you can do saving with the 1d4 if you want need yes it’s any saving throw…
Cassian: wait,
Cassian: did those count on this one? well,
Cassian: i rolled a one on that,
Cassian: so i’m gonna use my heroic inspiration to roll it again. oh,
GM: Uh,
GM: a one. A one plus a nine is a ten. That’s a success.
Cassian: i’ll take the success.
GM: Yeah, that gets you there.
Cassian: perfect, yep…
GM: Which, uh…
GM: Which ability is that again, Azeroth?
Odine: success,
Odine: one fail. Bless.
GM: Bless. You’re, you still… And you are still concentrating on it.
Azrith: yes and how long would you say it’s been since i did it…
Odine: Yes.
GM: Uh, three rounds.
Odine: 15 seconds.
GM: Total of 18 seconds. So,
Odine: Yeah. I…
GM: you got seven more rounds.
Azrith: i got 45 seconds…
GM: You’re still good. Yeah, you haven’t dropped it yet. Um, and yeah, it’s, it’s any save. So, you’re right. Yeah.
Azrith: mhm…
Cassian: well there we go that is awesome balance…
GM: That’s awesome. That’s awesome. Good, uh,
GM: good, good work, Azeroth.
Azrith: yay…
GM: Uh, and so, Cassian, there’s balance now. Yes, one death and one save. Balance.
Cassian: we’re in it…
GM: One and one. One and one. And then we go to Odin. Uh, Odin,
Odine: roll a con save.
GM: the clock’s ticking.
Odine: I forgot.
GM: Yep. Oh,
Odine: I got to roll a con save for my Witch Bolt.
GM: from his attack. He, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.
Odine: That’s going to be successful. That’s a 19. So.
GM: Nice. Okay,
Odine: Because he only did six damage.
GM: Witch Bolt’s still up as well.
Odine: Yep.
Odine: Got a bonus action. Discharge that for lightning damage.
GM: Great.
GM: Nice.
Odine: That’s an eight lightning damage attack on him.
Cassian: are…
GM: Odin, how do you want to do this?
Odine: Shockingly, Odin’s going to feel really bad about this. But, but she’s right there and grabs the armor and it just discharges full tilt into this guy. and he, and he starts vibrating violently and just falls down to the ground.
Odine: But I let go because I’m afraid I’m hurting him too much. But yeah.
GM: Yeah.
GM: Well, I’m, I’m going to add, I’m going to add pain to pleasure there with that because I think you look at his face and he’s, like, getting electrocuted. The intimidated, manly, like, R he’s been putting off turns into just, like, a boyish fear and pain as he, like, just keels back and falls to the ground smoking from your electrocution. Uh,
Odine: Heck yeah.
GM: incapacitated. Or maimed and massacred.
Odine: I mean, I think DM choice, like Odin has to live with the consequence or whatever. I wasn’t necessarily pulling a punch there. So.
GM: Yeah, I mean,
Odine: But I’m,
GM: it just depends.
GM: I think, I think, more on, more on intention.
Odine: I,
Odine: that’s, no, I don’t want to hurt anybody, but I also am going to be casting Healing Word and attempt to heal my party as my action. Could I stabilize him with that technically?
Odine: I don’t want to bring him back up, but I want to make sure he’s just at least zero hit points and unconscious.
GM: So, yeah.
GM: Yeah.
Odine: So.
GM: No,
GM: you’re fine. I think we’re just going to either call it, like, dead or not dead,
Odine: Okay.
GM: but he’ll stay passed out.
Odine: Yeah.
Odine: All right. Cool, cool, cool. All right. Casting Healing Word, which should stabilize my friend Cassian. Anyone? I can’t cast it. Damn it. I used a bonus action. I thought it was a full spell, an action spell. Cool. All right.
Odine: Then I am going to,
GM: Hold on, hold on. Let me, uh, Witch Bolt is a cantrip or a spell? A leveled spell.
Odine: Witch Bolt is a, is a level one spell.
GM: Okay.
Odine: But I, a bonus action, after I’ve initially cast it, I can choose to discharge it. So,
Odine: on each of my subsequent turns, you may take a bonus action to deal one D12 Lightning. So, didn’t realize that, but that’s all.
Cassian: we subbing actions for bonus actions is that an option no…
GM: Well, that’s what I was checking here because I think using a bonus action spell as an action is allowed.
GM: Um,
GM: it does say generally no. Here’s the problem, Christopher. I would say rule of cool, use a bonus action as an action, but if Witch Bolt is a leveled spell, you’re then using two leveled spells in one turn as a caster. And that’s butting up against another rule. So,
Odine: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, no, you’re right. Thank you. That’s a really good point.
Odine: Totally forgot about that.
GM: like,
GM: I would say, I would just say, like, future-proofing the ruling, if you want to use Healing Word as an action instead of a bonus action, I’ll allow that.
Odine: Just no leveled spell, but it’s a leveled spell.
GM: But your bonus action would not need to be, yeah.
Odine: A cantrip.
GM: Mm-hmm.
Odine: Yeah.
GM: Mm-hmm.
Odine: Yeah, yeah,
GM: Right?
Odine: yeah. Okay, cool. All right. Sounds good. Sorry, I was trying to save you there, Cassian. man, I’m hoping you don’t roll a nat one.
Odine: And I’m going to, uh, the shock and awe of, having just, potentially murdered a man, right within five feet of me, I’m going to discharge, another Eldritch Blast, uncontrollably, towards the Archer. Uh, that is a, 14 to hit.
Cassian: thanks yep…
GM: Yeah. That hits. This guy,
Odine: That is,
GM: right?
Odine: 12,
GM: Well,
Odine: yeah, that is,
GM: he’s downed already.
Odine: oh, is he?
GM: He’s already, yeah,
Aldric: Yeah.
Aldric: I downed up earlier.
GM: so Aldrick knocked him out.
Odine: All right.
Odine: Then I’m picking another one. I’ll pick the one right in front of Azeroth.
GM: Yep.
Odine: So, uh, so, does that hit with a 14 though? I think I have to roll a d4.
GM: Uh, not him. So, with, no, yeah, with him, that is a miss.
Odine: 14 plus.
GM: You have your D4 still?
Odine: Yeah, it’s just going to be a 15 though.
GM: Okay.
Odine: So, that’s all good.
GM: Okay.
Odine: So, yeah, again, it’s a wayward bolt. It just goes, crashes into something else. Uh,
GM: Uh, what about movement? Any movement?
Odine: I’m actually going to get closer to, to all my teammates. Actually, I’m going to go, I’m going to run towards Cassian’s aid.
GM: Okay.
Odine: So,
GM: Great.
Odine: why are they not picking it? Sorry, I have to, there we go.
Odine: Five, six, as close as I can get right now.
GM: Yep.
Odine: That’s my turn.
GM: Sweet. Um,
GM: so that guy’s down, so we skip. This guy on you, Azeroth, now it’s his turn. All right, seeing he has two fallen comrades. Um, he is going to, uh,
GM: swing at you for an 11, which I believe will miss your armor class.
Azrith: misses…
GM: Uh, he then hits a nat 1. Um,
Azrith: no…
GM: and so he is going to use his once-a-day action surge. Um, and he’s going to take an additional multi-attack action against you. Um, so that is going to be a 17 to hit,
Azrith: that hits…
GM: and an 8, so only one of four attacks connects there. And you take, uh, um, 9 slashing damage, and now need to do a concentration check on your bless.
GM: As he cuts down into your shoulder,
Azrith: slashing and then…
Azrith: that is a 19 for the save i…
GM: saves, you’re still up on concentration, and, uh, I think he’s going to just slide over, um, slightly. Get a little bit out of the way of Odin that’s approaching there. Your turn, Azeroth.
Azrith: am going to cast spare the dying my little friend here so so he is now stable all…
GM: Nice. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
GM: Awesome. You are out of death saves, Cassian.
GM: Uh, stable but still at 0?
Azrith: it says is he is stable…
Cassian: stable dude…
GM: Yep.
GM: Okay. Yep, you’re no longer a threat of dying, but you are still incapacitated.
Odine: Rules lawyer here real quick.
Odine: Witch bolt’s bonus action is not considered a casting. The spell was already cast. So, I could have done a leveled spell,
GM: Yep.
GM: Mm-hmm.
Odine: but that’s okay. Um, but yeah,
GM: Okay.
Odine: that’s where I was confused, but, uh, you make that choice. I will let you choose DM. It’s entirely up to you,
GM: I’ll accept,
Odine: but yeah.
GM: I’ll accept that. You’re,
GM: you’re just using a bonus action to pulse it, because it’s already been cast. That’s fair.
Odine: Yeah.
Odine: You said concentrated. That,
Odine: that’s like a druid spell concentrating and doing damage too.
GM: Yeah.
GM: That’s fair.
Odine: So,
GM: Yeah,
Odine: yeah.
GM: that’s fair.
Odine: Yeah.
GM: All…
Azrith: and that is my turn…
GM: right, that’s your action. Any bonus actions or movement? Are you staying put?
Azrith: i can’t do any bonus action bonus action and i’m not gonna provoke opportunity so no i’m good…
GM: Okay. Audrick, your AC is back down to normal now. Yes,
GM: this guy is going to continue to take his attacks on you.
GM: Uh, 19 to hit on the first one,
Aldric: That hits.
GM: and a 14 on the second.
Aldric: That does not.
GM: Okay. He’s also going to action search here. So, a 6 is going to miss, and a 16 is also a miss for you. All right, you take only one attack here, for a total of, uh, 8 slashing damage, and then we go to you, Audrick, at the bottom of the round. It’s your turn.
Aldric: Let us see.
Aldric: I’m going to… Swing at… The guy right next to me. With my greatsword. So… Let’s roll that.
Aldric: Oh. Lovely one.
Odine: Another natural one.
Azrith: man,
Cassian: we’ll need some new dice what’s going on…
Azrith: your dice need to learn how to do.
GM: That’s a lot in one night. That is a lot in one night.
Azrith: your dice need to actually get better.
GM: Uh,
GM: you do still have heroic inspiration if you want to use it.
Odine: I would use it.
Azrith: hehehehe,
Aldric: I…
Aldric: Hmm.
Azrith: i would really use it and…
Aldric: I’ll do it.
Aldric: Alright.
Odine: We’ll, we’ll get those back.
Aldric: I will… I better not get a one here. It can be anything else but a one.
GM: Anything but a 1. Um,
Cassian: could be us plus four six…
Aldric: I got a seven.
Odine: Two.
Odine: There you go.
Odine: For 12.
Azrith: then if you want if you want you can do the 4 this one…
GM: 7,
Aldric: Well…
Aldric: I might as well.
Aldric: Plus two.
Odine: Forward, make it. Okay. 14.
Cassian: you…
Aldric: Does… Fort… Keen hit.
GM: 14, does not hit.
Aldric: Okay. Hold on. Let me check something real quick.
Aldric: I have… Where is it? I have… Graze.
Aldric: So if your attack roll with a greatsword misses a creature, you can deal damage to it equal to the ability modifier used to make. The attack’s damage is the same.
GM: Mm-hmm.
GM: Mm-hmm. So, you can still deal 5.
Aldric: Yeah.
Aldric: And that is a… Bonus action?
GM: That’s a, is that a weapon mastery property?
GM: Is that what that is?
Aldric: Yeah.
Aldric: Yeah, it is.
GM: Nice.
Aldric: Yeah.
Cassian: can also action surge which is only a short rest to refresh oh…
GM: So, greatsword can basically just always deal some damage?
Aldric: Yeah. Yeah.
GM: That’s awesome,
Aldric: Pretty much.
Azrith: mhm i…
GM: man.
GM: That is, that’s sick. All right, so, 5 slashing, then? Is that what that is?
Aldric: Yeah. I’m gonna go with that.
GM: Okay. All right. Uh, noted, and, uh, top of the round. So, skip, skip.
GM: Um,
GM: Odin, I think that takes us to you now.
Odine: Um, I’m going to skip. Should I skip healing? Azeroth? Azeroth. Do I, do I know that Azeroth wants to be a little bit bloody? All…
Azrith: can’t i can’t be healed i’m at i i’m necrotic so i’m permanently my max is at 18 and i’m pretty sure oh wait no i can’t be nevermind i’m done perfect…
GM: Yeah,
Odine: right.
Odine: I’m just going to cast healing word. I’m going to cast healing word, um, to hopefully, uh, wake up my really good friend, Cassian.
GM: you’re good.
GM: Mm-hmm. Yep.
Odine: And have you been hit yet? Alex,
Aldric: Yes. I…
Odine: you have. Okay, cool.
GM: Once,
Odine: All right.
GM: right? I think it’s, like,
Odine: So anyone that chooses to with,
GM: a decent blow.
Odine: that can hear my voice gets eight hit points back. That’s a lame number.
GM: Nice. Mask healing word?
Odine: That was a one, a two, and a five.
GM: Nice.
Odine: That was my bonus action.
GM: Cassian, you feel a, a rush of warmth and blood come back.
Cassian: i know i picked the right teammates look at you guys yes…
GM: I think as you gather yourself here, you are still prone. But,
GM: you do notice that two of these four guys have been knocked out.
Cassian: yeah…
Odine: And then, uh, I’m going to sorceress burst. Actually, I can’t see him. So I’m pivoting up here. So again, one, two,
GM: Uh,
Odine: three, four,
GM: Aldric,
GM: you made sure to mark down the healing, correct?
Odine: five,
Aldric: have not yet,
Odine: eight points. All…
Aldric: but I am about to. I’m just grabbing water.
GM: Yep. Make sure you add those. Azerith, you got it. You should be back to full, I think, right?
Azrith: i am at 17 so one away from my current full well…
GM: Okay. Nice.
Odine: right. I’m sorceress bursting the one in front of Aldrich.
GM: This one. Um,
Odine: It’s an 18 to hit.
GM: okay.
GM: Uh, hits.
Aldric: Nice.
Odine: We’re going to do, what damage is that? That is, I’m choosing another lightning damage of seven points on that guy.
GM: Love that.
GM: He is bruised.
Odine: Sweet.
Odine: That’s my turn.
GM: Um,
GM: anything else on your turn?
Odine: No,
GM: Good.
Odine: I’ve done,
GM: Um,
Odine: I’ve done my bonus action in my action.
GM: okay. That guy’s down. All right. Uh, Azerith. This guy, uh, he is gonna just continue to swing at you. Oh, that’s a crit.
GM: First crit for me tonight.
Odine: Hmm.
Azrith: that’s not fun they both hit…
GM: Um, and then a 16 on the second one.
GM: Okay. Okay. All right. Here we go.
Odine: What’s your max HP right now?
Azrith: 18…
Odine: 18. Awesome.
GM: This is, uh, this is gonna be a lot, unfortunately. He’s like baseline 15. And,
Azrith: give it to me yep…
GM: yeah. Uh, this is a 21 for the critical hit.
Odine: Unconscious.
Azrith: i’m down…
GM: Okay. And,
GM: and then I think, actually, I think if the first one hits you and you go down,
Odine: The second one doesn’t apply.
GM: um, the second one, yeah, he’s not gonna hit you with the second one. So, your concentration drops. So, your bless is down. And, and, you are unconscious. Uh,
Azrith: good luck points my turn gotta…
GM: I think, I think he closes in on Odin. Seeing you healing people, he’s like, oh no. If I don’t stop that.
Azrith: kill the healer…
GM: Oh. Yeah. I think that second attack goes on you for, uh, uh, what did I say? Was it a 17 to hit Odin?
Odine: Oh yeah. It hits.
GM: Okay. So, then, that’s a 11 slashing damage. And, I’ll need a concentration save.
Odine: Oh yeah. I am definitely bloody. I’m not concentrating on anything anymore.
GM: Oh, you’re right. Witch Bolt dropped when you killed that guy, huh?
Odine: Yeah.
GM: I should have turned that off earlier. Okay. Uh, that’s his Azerith. I need death saves, buddy.
Azrith: let’s go for it.
Azrith: that is a 13, so success, heck,
Cassian: you’re…
GM: Success.
GM: All right.
Azrith: yeah…
GM: This guy is gonna take another swing at you, Aldrick.
GM: Uh, 16 misses you. Yes.
Aldric: Yes.
GM: And a 15 will as well.
GM: You are safe. And, it is now your turn. And, your friends need you, my friend. What are you going to do to turn the tides of this battle?
Aldric: Yep.
Aldric: Shall see.
GM: Borsa.
Azrith: smack…
Cassian: a fighter dude just hit him…
Aldric: Listen.
Azrith: him hehehe…
GM: Mack’em.
Aldric: I’m re…
Aldric: I’m reading through my things. I’m learning. Huh.
GM: Mack’em.
Aldric: Okay. Okay.
Aldric: I don’t think an 11 is gonna hit that guy.
GM: 11 to hit.
GM: And, you don’t have, you don’t have Bless anymore. So,
Aldric: Nope.
Azrith: yeah most…
GM: all right. That is a miss.
Aldric: That’s the best I got, guys.
GM: Uh, do you still have, do you still have your action search? Yeah.
Cassian: you still have action surge yeah i still got his action surge and…
Aldric: Yeah.
GM: Yep. I think you might want to spend that now.
Azrith: likely i mean yeah hehehehe…
Cassian: that your friends are dying.
GM: Mm-hmm.
Cassian: i don’t feel like his friend at this point. with his little efforts,
Odine: I mean, I am.
Odine: Does he think we’re friends?
Cassian: he’s put into the fight…
Azrith: that’s the question is…
Odine: That’s, that’s what I’m wondering.
Odine: Yeah. I’m just, but is he mine? Like, yeah.
Azrith: he my friend…
Aldric: I’ll use action surge. And I guess…
GM: Take another swing.
Aldric: Actually, I’m gonna move over to here, right?
Aldric: And I’m actually going to blast this guy, the firebolt.
GM: Yep. Yep.
GM: Okay.
Aldric: I say this guy. That is a natural 20.
Cassian: and you you swung with your great sword the first time, right,
Azrith: oh yeah natural…
Odine: Yeah.
Cassian: don’t you have great?
Odine: Natural 20.
GM: Did you?
Aldric: Yeah.
Cassian: hey alex,
Odine: Natural 20.
GM: You crit him?
Cassian: don’t you have grace?
Cassian: don’t you have graze with your great sword? don’t you deal damage every single time, even if you miss i…?
Aldric: Hold on. I can’t… I can’t hear you. Sorry.
GM: Oh,
Aldric: Oh, yeah.
Aldric: I forgot to…
GM: yeah.
Aldric: So I technically…
GM: Yeah.
GM: That would have been another five on that guy.
Aldric: Yeah. Good point.
GM: Uh, well, actually, truth be told, five more damage on that guy knocks him out. So,
Aldric: Oh.
GM: let’s, uh, let’s retroactively. How do you want to do this, Aldrick?
Aldric: Honestly, I’m kind of… I mean, as much as I want to use that, I’m kind of liking that 20. I mean…
Cassian: mean graze is just inherent.
Odine: You can, you can,
Cassian: basically,
Odine: you can, yeah, you can still action surge. You did action surge.
Cassian: you can axe and surge.
Odine: So like,
GM: Yeah.
Cassian: the next dude that’s trying to kill odin, no…
Odine: Oh…
GM: Yeah. We’ll come back to your action search, but first, in a moment of glory,
GM: how does Aldrick fell this,
Aldric: Okay. Okay.
Aldric: I understand.
GM: this enemy, who was, by the way, the tallest and largest amongst these men?
Odine: yes.
GM: How do you take him down? Um,
Aldric: Oh.
Aldric: I want it to be like one of… Almost like out of an anime scene, since obviously I barely graze him. It almost looks like I’m cutting through him super fast,
Aldric: because I dash past him. I slash,
Odine: You shifted.
Odine: Yeah.
Aldric: and then I’m just kind of standing behind him with my blade there as he collapses.
Aldric: Everybody looking,
GM: yeah.
GM: He,
Azrith: the flash strike me…
GM: he blocks it.
Aldric: watching.
Odine: Love it.
Odine: Great visual.
GM: He blocks it with a parry, but because of your graze maneuver, there’s just a moment where he, like, turns and looks, and there’s just enough blood pulling out of his side before he, like,
GM: realizes he’s passing out and falls to his knees, slumping forward into the mud, and the crowd goes wild over the sleigh.
Aldric: Oh.
Aldric: Oh.
GM: Uh, dead or incapacitated, my friend. Yeah,
Aldric: I think because I only grazed him, he’s okay. He’s bleeding, but he’s okay.
GM: he’s knocked out.
Aldric: Yeah.
GM: Yeah, he’s knocked out. Blood loss. Can’t stand enough of it. Uh,
Aldric: Mm-hmm.
GM: that was good. So, you’re actually free to move further if you want.
Aldric: Okay.
Odine: He,
Aldric: I’ll…
GM: Uh,
Odine: he natural,
Aldric: I’ll scoot.
GM: and you can keep your nat 20.
Odine: he nat 20 that next one and he could take out that guy in front of me.
Aldric: Yeah.
Aldric: Yeah.
GM: You can keep your nat 20.
Odine: Yeah.
Aldric: It was a 20 plus 3, but I don’t think that matters.
Odine: Yeah.
Odine: Yeah. You got to be at range.
Cassian: it’s just so take or you could take your movement and oh we know yep…
GM: Nat 20 is just a crit, so you said you were gonna do a firebolt on this guy? Okay,
Aldric: Okay. Well, I’ll stick here, since I was already there.
Odine: That was awesome. Your dice.
GM: so you’re shooting,
GM: you’re shooting him with a firebolt then,
Odine: You rolled a 20,
Odine: the dragon rear.
GM: like,
Aldric: Yeah.
GM: like,
GM: grazing him and then turning and casting a spell in the same moment?
Aldric: Yeah.
Aldric: Yeah. I kind of like…
Aldric: I shift my stance after doing that, and I charge up a firebolt to blast at the other guy.
GM: Yeah.
GM: Okay, so your firebolt’s a 1d10, so you automatically baseline do 10 damage plus whatever you roll on the d10.
Aldric: All right. Let’s roll that, then.
Aldric: Four.
GM: Nice.
GM: Did that spit out two dice?
Aldric: That did.
Odine: It did.
GM: That spit out 2d10.
GM: Just re-roll it with just one.
Aldric: Oh.
Odine: So two.
Aldric: Oh. Okay. Yeah. I was wondering why it did that. Seven.
GM: There you go. Seven. Okay, uh, seven fire damage on this guy. Uh, and then…
Cassian: 17 21…
Aldric: Yeah.
Aldric: Wasn’t it 10 plus?
GM: Ursa,
Odine: 10 plus seven.
GM: you’re right, you’re right.
GM: 17, thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you. 17, and then Aldrich, I think you do still have some movement if you want, or you can stay put. It’s up to you.
Aldric: I’m just going to stand here, flourish in the glory.
GM: Okay, sweet. Uh,
Odine: I love it.
GM: awesome. Uh, another performance check. Uh, this time your DC is going to be… Uh, we’re going to call it a 38. And Cassian can now participate because he’s awake. Azerith, you cannot.
Azrith: me me me hehehehe…
Aldric: Me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me.
Cassian: from cassian cassian’s on the ground yeah…
Aldric: That is…
GM: 21’s a good start. That’s a good start.
Aldric: That is a good start. Let’s see what I get.
Aldric: Hmm?
GM: Yeah! Woo!
Aldric: I got a 17.
Odine: And I got a 15.
Aldric: All right.
GM: Hell yeah. Hell yeah.
Aldric: We’re in business.
GM: All right,
GM: three quarters of this crowd now is rooting for you. You sense it, right? The energy is now palpable compared to what it was when you entered in here. Uh, this has become quite the combat, quite the showing. Um, Cassian, it’s your turn now, dude. And you are up.
Odine: No way to 17.
Cassian: oh,
Cassian: um trading half that movement to stand up. um,
GM: Trade me half your movement to stand up.
Aldric: We’re in business.
Cassian: as cassian is getting up and it looks like he’s using his disabled friend azareth to help himself get up…
GM: You, like,
Azrith: me me me me me me me me me me me me me.
Odine: You’re like pushing off his body. You pushed him down in the mud.
GM: use this horn to let the handle to stand up. Ha ha ha.
Odine: I mean, he,
Odine: he is a tiefling. So, you know,
Azrith: i grew up in the mud,
GM: You, like,
GM: use this horn as a handrail to prop yourself up.
Azrith: my one good horn…
Cassian: there’s a,
Cassian: there’s a.
Cassian: there’s a very faint glow that comes from cassian’s hand as he casts healing hands on his new friend, for…
GM: That’s incredible.
Azrith: me me me me…
GM: Yes.
GM: I love that. There’s a method to the madness.
Azrith: yeah i…
Cassian: a stick hit point. yeah,
GM: You heal him on his horn as you’re using him to get yourself up.
Azrith: heal how much what…
Cassian: yeah,
Cassian: six hp glad…
Odine: six.
GM: Six HP.
Azrith: i saw ghost wait i already do that hehehehe…
Cassian: to see i’m not the only one who went down friend and cassian casts i’m…
Cassian: struggling tonight with these spells misty step as it kind of turns into a blue blocky almost pixelated and he travels right behind his friend odin and…
GM: Nice.
Cassian: he says to the man uh you can surrender now friend there’s no need to keep fighting yeah…
GM: I mean, do you, uh, just for kicks and giggles, do you want to do, uh, an intimidation or a persuasion check here?
Cassian: absolutely persuasion or intimidation. i don’t care. intimidation,
GM: Yeah, send it.
GM: Send it.
Cassian: natural one, a row of inspiration incoming it’s…
Azrith: i’m…
GM: He’s got, like, a burn on his face from when Algic critted him with a firebolt.
GM: But I think he just kind of snarls and spits blood out of the corner of his mouth at you.
Odine: We’ve burned. All…
Cassian: my turn you’ve…
GM: All right.
Odine: right. I’m going to look at him in the eye and try to back up my friend using my eyes begin to like shimmer black. Almost as if the pupils have no edge, like a misty edge to them. And I will cast mind sliver. I needed intelligence check from him. 16.
GM: The intelligence saving throws. You guys are min-maxing on me.
GM: I feel like Marsh taught you guys that. Ha ha ha. All right.
Odine: Not intentionally.
Odine: It’s rare to have an intelligence safe.
GM: Seven stream on the dice.
Odine: Oh man.
GM: It is.
Odine: It, it, it, it succeeds.
GM: I rolled, I rolled high.
Odine: You’re good though. No. Yeah, I know.
Cassian: been rolling like crazy high tonight we’re rolling ones and you’re rolling 20s dang you…
GM: And now,
Odine: But, uh, you know, I am, I am trying to glare at him and I’m going to bonus action. My last spell slot cast armor of Agathus again on myself.
GM: yep,
GM: your crystallization forms as ice crystals shoot around you.
Odine: Yeah. No, I get it.
Odine: Yeah. And I get a five, 10 hit points. Cool.
GM: This is likely going to be his last attempt. Uh,
GM: but he’s going to fight a ten to hit Odin and a five to hit Odin.
Odine: Miss,
Odine: miss at…
GM: Uh, Azerith, buddy, we’re back to you and you are on the ground, but alive.
Azrith: gonna go ahead and feed you half my movement and then i have 15 left right and i’m gonna move right here. that’s 15,
GM: Yep.
GM: Correct.
Azrith: pretty sure, and i’m, uh, i’m gonna cast kill touch again on him.
GM: Yep.
GM: Chill touch.
Azrith: that is a natural 20…
Odine: 20.
GM: Ha ha ha.
Odine: So pretty.
GM: Uh, roll your damage, my friend. You’re going to add total maximum damage as the base.
Azrith: and…
GM: So, ten plus whatever you roll.
GM: This is HP that he cannot even regain.
Odine: No, wait, what is your, what is your max?
Odine: Is it 2d10?
Azrith: it is a 1d10 normally but since i did critical it allows me to do 2d10…
Odine: Okay. So you can do max damage and then, so 15 instead of 10. Yeah. Yeah. Okay.
Azrith: yeah yeah cool…
Cassian: could do up to 20…
GM: Azerith, how do you want to end? This match.
Azrith: i like, like a greenish, like ghostly purplish goat, like greenish mist appears around my hand, as i like. just place it, place it on his chest.
Azrith: i’m gonna make your skin fall off and then i cast it. it’s like part of his body is like kinda necrotic, like the skin is withering a little bit and he like falls over.
GM: Oh,
GM: are you killing him?
Azrith: i’m not gonna kill him, but it’s gonna leave an acid scar…
GM: Yeah, he’s going to be scarred for sure. Uh, the crowd erupts as the gong of the bell rings out. The match has been called by the judges. Uh, and you see, there’s even a good handful of spectators who are standing up and applauding. Uh, I think you all get the sense that this has gone rather well for your first showing.
Aldric: I’m going to walk up to the big guy that I took down. And I’m going to, like… I’m not going to kick him, but I’m going to slightly, slightly nudge his body with my foot, kind of push it around, wiggle him, you know? And I’m going to… I’m going to… I expected more. That’s on me.
Aldric: Hit it.
GM: I love Aldrich’s quips.
Aldric: And then I’ll go join the group, you know? Make sure everyone’s good.
GM: Uh, how do you all react as a party to winning? Is there celebration? Um, is there,
Odine: Odin. Odin’s trying to help the people that we just beat down.
Azrith: hehehe hehehe…
GM: uh,
GM: on the ground, on the ground with the,
Odine: Odin’s like trying to shake this guy away going,
Odine: you should have listened to my friend. Come on. And I help them up.
Aldric: Oh,
GM: on the ground with the archer trying to shake him awake?
Odine: Yeah.
GM: Interesting.
Odine: Yeah,
GM: Ooh,
Odine: exactly.
Cassian: cassian scanning the crowd to see who was watching this fight as well as telling his teammates i knew i picked the right team ah 22…
Azrith: hehehe his…
GM: yeah. Uh, perception check.
Cassian: a…
GM: 22. Uh, you see, I think particularly up here under the red tent, uh, the noble who seemed to kind of start taking interest halfway through the match, he’s like giving you kind of like a golf clap, like holding the goblet in one hand and kind of just lightly applauding as your eyes connect. Um, I think you recognize this as, uh, one of the, uh, one of like the midlords of house blackwood. They’re like a vassal house of, um, one of, not, not one of the big three, but like one of the smaller houses that doesn’t tend to win tournaments. Um,
GM: so he’s not necessarily like a super high Lord. He’s like middle or to lower tier in terms of nobility. Um,
Cassian: black house you…
Cassian: said house black lord or black blackwood…
GM: uh, Blackwood. So his name would be, uh, Lord Tristan Blackwood. Give that to you in here or…
GM: Duke. Sorry. Duke Tristan.
Cassian: duke the duke…
GM: Yep.
GM: He has, uh, he has probably a smaller parcel, you know, that’s, that’s, uh, loaned out to him as, as a vassal house.
Cassian: yeah so similar cassian or a little higher…
GM: Uh, probably similar, like, yeah, definitely kind of like more approachable to you, more on par with your house, but he seems to have connected eyes with you as you’ve searched and he’s kind of giving you like a, okay,
GM: like kind of a nod valiant performance.
Cassian: cassian.
Cassian: cassian kind of just gives him a quick glance and a wink and he, uh, tends back to his friends. wonderful job everyone. wonderful look at the performance we put on. you guys are incredible, aldrick, i saw that work, my man, very good job.
Cassian: you finally brought it out. nice of you, a little late, but hey, you know you showed up for the party, nazareth…
Aldric: it’s all…
Aldric: All in a day’s work.
GM: All in a day’s work. Uh,
Azrith: wrath is kinda like giving a thumbs up and now he’s like his eyes are like dripping he’s like now half asleep hehehe…
GM: I think you guys, uh,
Odine: Odin’s yelling,
Cassian: strange as always…
Odine: and where are the medics? Where are the medics?
Azrith: hehehe hehehe…
Aldric: As Odin yells at, I also go, Where is the ale?
Odine: You know what I mean?
Aldric: As I raise my fists. I…
GM: some nursing maintenance. The maidens, uh, likely come down within the next few minutes to kind of like drag the men and slump them up against the wall to kind of, uh, you know,
Cassian: uh…
GM: they use smelling salts and and some bandages to kind of like,
Odine: Flap their faces.
Azrith: hehehe hehehe…
GM: yeah, a little, little, uh, a little dirty water to kind of like toss on their face and wake them up. Um, but you all are, uh, I would say you probably get about two to three minutes of, of sort of attention, cheers and applause before things calm down. Um,
Cassian: right before things calmed down uh cassian uh cast his thermaturgy and booming voice he says to the crowd give it up for the crushing crusader 16…
Azrith: as he does that i also cast uh thermatergy and do like a like a thundering or like like a firework kinda noise like right above us i…
GM: yeah, uh, I love it. You guys have already reached favor three, which was pretty high for just one contest. I’ll give you a chance to get to level four here with another party check. Um, this time you guys need to hit 48, all four of you,
Aldric: got a 15. I’ll…
Azrith: got a 16 13…
Cassian: i…
GM: 15 and 16.
Odine: 13.
Azrith: 16 16 15 it…
Odine: Not enough.
GM: I mean, just don’t, just don’t roll a two Cassian and we should be there.
Cassian: rolled a 16 uh…
GM: Nice. Okay. Awesome. Yeah. I think, uh, you guys kind of stir them up a little bit more at the end and, uh, we’ll move your party to, to level four favor and the tournament grounds, uh, it’s higher than I actually thought you guys might get in one bout. Uh, if you hit level five favor, you guys can actually move out of the, the proving grounds and enter into the big leagues.
Odine: Okay. I don’t know what any of that means,
Odine: but I’m glad we did this. Can we now be done with this whole thing?
GM: Um,
GM: in speaking to the game makers after the match, um, they give you some options. Uh, they liked the showing. They want, want you back if you’ll come back because you guys have managed to stir the crowd up a bit. Uh, you could attempt to come back for another contest against another team of four champions such as this, uh, likely it would increase in difficulty or they’ll give you the option to run skill challenges, uh, more of a obstacle type deal. Um, and lastly, you can run a gauntlet, which means like more of like a wave battle. Um, imagine like fantasy style bullfighting, some type of monsters or beasties, um, sent in waves. So if, if any of those interests you,
Odine: Which is the best pathway to level up? Cause I am squishy.
GM: if any of those interests to you, another six, another success would likely grant you the notoriety necessary to, um, yeah, advance, advance up the ranks in this tournament.
Odine: I mean, okay. Yeah. Well, I,
Cassian: well shall we fight shall we leap or shall we crush some beasties you…
Odine: I’m going to stand up and kind of like, once I’ve checked on everybody, I’m going to come back over to you and say, well, that was, that was oddly exhilarating. I learned some new tricks. I think I could, I think I could do some more of this to help me. I learned how to control my, the magic within me.
Cassian: want to fight he says surprise thrith…
Odine: I just want to, I want an opportunity to, to practice more. I got to learn how to control this thing. I mean, I, I did, I let loose two spells. I didn’t know how to quite control.
Cassian: aldrick what say ye are…
Aldric: never let down the opportunity to get me sword wet.
Azrith: gives like a like a shaking thumbs up as he’s like leaning his head on uh oldrick’s shoulder tired…
GM: Yep.
Odine: We, we get to sleep tonight though, right?
Azrith: sleep uh…
Cassian: you asking me or the the purveyor uh…
Odine: I’m asking when,
Odine: when would the next fight be? When would the next fight be?
GM: The game master, uh, says if you wanted, he could get you signed up the same week. It depends on how long you want to rest before your next match. Most combatants would take at least a day in between bouts.
Odine: Yeah. I think that’s what we’ll do. I’m down for that.
Cassian: cassian looks at the game master and he kind of leans in and he says is there any sleeping privileges or warm baths that are included with these victories…
Azrith: huh…
GM: Not from winning in the proving grounds. I think the best you could hope for is getting the attention of one of the nobles or, uh, a sponsor that’s looking to make some coin off of your performances. Uh,
Aldric: I’ll drink wool.
Cassian: wonderful schmoozing it is my friends uh aldrick why don’t you go find the trough and maybe rinse off real quick and we’ll go find somewhere to sleep…
Odine: Look at, I, yeah, go ahead.
Aldric: I’ll walk up to the game master, and I’ll ask, What about the bats put down on us?
Cassian: right of…
GM: yes, you can, you can see the coin master in the tent back at the king’s fair to collect on any wagers that you placed.
Aldric: Okay.
GM: Assuming you kept any, uh, ticket stubs that were provided for your wager.
Aldric: Cassian?
Odine: You got a voucher.
Aldric: Look over at Cassian like he’s supposed to have it.
Azrith: hehehe hehehe hehehe hehehe hehehe…
Cassian: course i put it in my pouch…
Aldric: Okay.
GM: Pass in, uh, you check your pouch and find that your slip is still in there, although maybe a little bit doused with blood and mud at this point.
GM: Uh,
Cassian: ah…
GM: as you open it and read it, you remember that the specific details of your wager were that not a single one of your, uh, allies would be knocked unconscious during your fight.
Azrith: hehehe.
Cassian: which did not happen my friends yep…
Azrith: hehehe,
Azrith: we all stayed up. we all stayed up,
Aldric: Nope.
Azrith: as i was risked as a powerful…
GM: You could go,
GM: you could go make a case that you all walked out on your feet and see how it goes. Um,
Cassian: uh well, we should visit the game master- or the coin master, of course, and see if we can claim this prize, which we rightfully deserve. of course, as we are all standing here today,
Cassian: none of us dragged out right well this way, my friends…
Aldric: I feel good.
Odine: Ah, exactly.
Azrith: mhm mhm mhm mhm mhm mhm mhm mhm…
Odine: Odin’s going to pull her hair back and let her elf ears show. And, uh,
Odine: an attempt to, uh, secure us some lodging. Cause I want a bath role…
GM: I think next time we’ll, we’ll maybe start with some, um,
Odine: play.
GM: uh,
Odine: Yeah. That…
GM: rewards and role play. Yeah. We’ll talk about, we’ll talk about sponsors. I think Duke,
GM: Duke Blackwood will want to approach and speak with you all. Um, we’ll go, we’ll go see if we can cash in on the wager and, uh, yeah, if, uh, once you guys kind of get kitted out a little bit from succeeding, um, you know, we’ll see if there’s any like spending or shopping that you guys want to do before we kind of roll into the next, uh, next chapter.
Cassian: awesome…
Odine: was fun.
GM: Cool.
Cassian: that…
GM: Awesome. Let’s put a pin in it there, guys.
Odine: That was a, that was a fun encounter. Really well balanced for, for us. So yeah,
GM: Good job.
Odine: good job, Jeff.
GM: Yeah, man. The crit was brutal. Also the,
Odine: I know.
GM: the, the max damage on Cassian. I, I rolled the max on both of his dice on his crossbow.
Odine: Yeah.
GM: That was rough.
Cassian: was rough that’s all right we made it out not…
GM: Yeah. But there were also, I think some, some good responses on your guys’s part. Those were some cool, uh, cool maneuvers that you guys whipped out formidable.
Azrith: mhm,
Aldric: Yeah, I agree.
Odine: But he got right there at the end.
Azrith: hehehe, hehehe,
Aldric: They’ve been misbehaving.
GM: Yeah.
GM: I get it. Get rid of that digital dice forever.
Azrith: hehehe, hehehe,
Odine: It was cool though. When he hit the nat 20, a dragon appeared on my screen and,
GM: That’s cool.
Odine: and like ran off.
Aldric: Yeah.
Azrith: yeah same…
Odine: So yeah.
Aldric: Yeah.
Odine: Yeah.
GM: Yeah. No, I mean,
Odine: Yeah.
GM: yeah, you had some pretty clutch moments, Aldrich.
Odine: Yeah. Yeah. You did.
GM: I will say all of you did actually. Yeah, it was good.
Azrith: yeah didn’t we all take out uh one person like the final brother but…
Odine: I think so.
GM: Did you all get a final blow?
Odine: I think that’s how it went. Yeah.
Cassian: me i…
GM: Yeah.
Odine: I thought you did.
Azrith: yeah i thought you did he…
GM: Uh,
Aldric: No,
Aldric: because I had gotten the archer.
GM: Aldrich,
GM: uh,
Odine: Oh yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
GM: Aldrich got two.
GM: Aldrich got two,
Odine: Yeah.
GM: but I think Cassian really whittled down the,
Odine: Yeah.
GM: the archer first. I mean, he, he,
Aldric: Yeah.
Odine: I think so too.
Aldric: He was low.
Odine: He was focused.
Azrith: just he gets just he gets the same amount of credit…
GM: he,
GM: he did probably 80,
GM: 80 to 90% of his health. Yeah.
Cassian: mean that’s why i brought cassian’s crushers so that you guys could do all the lifting uh…
GM: Cassian’s crushers.
Azrith: hehehe hehehe we are the crushers…
Odine: I don’t,
GM: I love,
Odine: I don’t,
Odine: I don’t crush anything.
GM: I love the irony that you like became like the de facto unwarranted leader of the group.
Azrith: hehehe,
Azrith: like we we met,
GM: Signed them up for this bout and then first one to go down.
Cassian: i know i thought you know i was like that’s…
Aldric: Yeah.
Aldric: Yeah.
Azrith: we met this random charming guy. we’re like hey, let’s go fight with him.
Azrith: and then we tell him: we like listen to him…
